Romance Was Born’s Paris Presentation Was A Colourful Nod To The 80s

Paris

— July 5, 2018 —

Romance Was Born just presented their first ever show in Paris, and excuse us while we wipe a proud tear from our eyes.

As always, they had an A+ crew of collaborators working on the spectacular collection, from artist Jenny Kee and knit genius Katie Jones to coolest florist Jefferson Fouquet and milliner Phoebe Hyles (who was responsible for all those #fab beaded and feathered caps). Also in tow was a bunch of other Aussie legends, including hair extraordinaire Pete Lennon and stylist Peter Simon Phillips, that they flew over for the event.

The entire collection was a big old colourful nod to Anna and Luke’s fave decade (aka, the 80s) with models in neon makeup and bike shorts making their way down Paris’s oldest gymnasium. As always, the Australiana vibes were high and the intricate detailing jaw-dropping, but our personal favourite moment was when CPC honey Meg Fairbairn closed the show in a Cockatoo wedding-inspired dress. Fair dinkum, you guys! What a show!
