Jordan Dalah's Epic SS23 Offering Forges a New Trail

Gadigal Land

Jordan Dalah is forging a new trail. The designer's epic presentation at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week 2022 blended theatrics and utility, with guests seated on folded camping chairs to witness a substantial 40-piece collection debut. Using gingham motifs and refined colour choices, the SS23 offering continues Jordan's mastery of exaggerated architectural structures. It's cerebral yet free of conceit, with oversized shoulders and drop-waists and unexpected details. It demonstrates why the Central Saint Martins graduate (who was also named one of seven finalists in the 2022 International Woolmark Prize) is clearly on a path to greatness on a particularly grand scale.

Jordan's compelling presentation was made possible by a partnership with Glenfiddich, the world's most awarded single malt scotch whisky, which launched its newest addition on the runway in this unique fashion week collaboration. At the centre of the collection? A body-hugging showstopper worn by cutie Cynthia Wu inspired by Glenfiddich's new Grande Couronne whisky.

Scroll through our backstage snaps and get a closer look at the wow-making production, styled by Kiwi Charlotte Agnew and with new faces including Savannah Krugar and Em Stenberg featuring in the cast.
