Girl Gangs and Greek Mythology at Karla Spetic’s Ethereal MBFWA Show

Sydney

— May 17, 2019 —

Karla Spetic blew our tiny minds to smithereens at MBFWA this year with her aptly-titled show ‘Syren’ which was inspired by Greek mythology. Giving Ariel from The Little Mermaid a run for her money, the models looked as if they’d just metamorphosed from mermaids to (insanely good-looking) humans, fresh from the ocean, with their slicked, crimped and pearl-encrusted locks and dewy as sin skin.

The clothes were beyond beautiful, with some highlights being: oversized sheer black, pink and white shirts, trousers that you just know would be heaven to touch, and a silk black blazer with expert slits that render it wearable all-year round. The pièce de résistance for us though was that white maxi dress with rope detailing up the sides. Just wow.

CPC stylist/our favourite ever guy, Miguel Urbina Tan, was backstage lapping up all the magic with his trusty camera, and could you please just give us a second in private while we have a collective proud mum moment!!! *Squeals in every language.*

Thanks Karla!
