Double Rainbouu’s Resort ‘20 Collection Proves More is More

Sydney

— May 17, 2019 —

Defying all odds, Double Rainbouu managed to outdo even themselves this season with a gloriously colorful resort collection that’ll give you year-round #summerhols vibes. And they say you can’t improve on perfection.

Continuing with MBFWA’s unofficial sunset theme this year, the show took place in the Chinese Garden of Friendship as the sun tapped out for the day. (Side note: is it ever possible to tire of the sight of a swirly cotton candy and burnt orange sky? We don’t think so?). While there’s definitely room for a wealth of pared-back tones in our wardrobes, Double Rainbouu was like an adrenaline shot to the heart of resort wear with breezy fabrics and an electrifying colour palette—hot pinks, vibrant reds, cool as a sea cucumber greens, mesmerising mustards and cobalt blues.

Robes reigned, the tie-dye was TDF, zebra prints proved our animal print obsession isn’t going anywhere soon, or maybe ever, and bucket hats and linen has got us counting down the days until we can once again call summer our own.

In other news, the boys behind Double Rainbouu have officially confirmed mounting suspicions that brown is our new preferred colour in which to swathe our limbs in, outranking even red and pink. I mean, would you just look at that silk shirt in the first slide?

Okay, over and out. See you next time, friends!
