Summer is so close we could almost reach out and lick it. To celebrate the arrival of these Vitamin D-drenched days, we hung out with two angel pies—Alissa and Lachlan—down at the beach. So fitting!

Best book(/s) to get you in the mood for summer?
I disappointingly haven’t read any books lately, but I’ve been getting into podcasts and one I really like is Lauren Hill MTV Unplugged.
What are your top five desert island products?
A violin or some sort of instrument, art supplies (paint/pastels/sketchbook), a diary, a water filter ;), and an unlimited supply of peaches.

Favourite places to road trip in summer?
One of my favourite road trips was going from California through Oregon to Washington state. Or, any road trip that requires driving through mountains, really.
Best meal to eat on a hot summer's afternoon? And drink?
Big ol’ bowl of fruit salad and freshly-squeezed lemonade.
What are you most excited for this summer?
Relaxing by a beach and playing sports with friends.
When are you happiest in life?
I’m the happiest when I am around all of my family including my cousins, aunts and uncles. We have the biggest laughs.
What social/cultural issues are most important to you?
The lack of respect for women is the most important issue to me. Women are still looked at as an object to this day.
One cool fact about yourself that not many people know?
A little cool fact about me is that I have a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which makes me double jointed.
Favourite way to spend a day in summer?
I love swimming in summer, whether it be at a beach or a pool with some friends.

Favourite places to road trip in summer?
I love taking trips to my families beach house at Foresters Beach—I’ve been going every summer since I was born.

A nice smoothie and any form of chicken.
What are you most excited for this summer?
Spending time at the beach relaxing and not having to think about University.
When are you happiest in life?
Usually whenever I’m with my cat.
What social/cultural issues are most important to you?
The current drought, as I have many relatives who are farmers and it is having a major impact on their wellbeing and income.
One cool fact about yourself that not many people know?
I can play six musical instruments!
Favourite way to spend a day in summer?
A nice slow start to the day, meet up with friends and have some drinks around the pool.
