Lacoste’s Paris Fashion week show is here to inspire your inner sporty spice with a collection of fun, preppy clothes that hit the comfy chic brief right outta the park.
Lacoste’s creative director, Louis Trotter, eschewed the tennis-inspired lewks that typify the brand’s aesthetic, instead paying tribute to René Lacoste’s wife and champion golfer, Simone de la Chaume. This played out in deep-V knitwear, mini golf club bags and ensembles that’d look as much at home in the country club as they would at brunch with the gang. Pastels and pop colours collided to make some very tasty sartorial treats (some of which brought to mind Tyler the Creator's alter ego, golfer Thurnis Haley). Burnt oranges and browns and a sprinkling of clashing prints also.
Forget golf and tennis, though, because today we’re here to engage in our favourite form of spectator sport: perving on all the hot looks on the guests at the show.
* Impersonates commentator's voice *. Bringing up the rear was a collection of qt pie boys like Luka Sabbat dressed in head-to-toe Lacoste. Elsewhere, genetically-blessed French attendees were serving up lessons on rocking athleticwear without it looking like you forgot to pack a spare pair of clothes for the gym. In the lead was the fuschia-haired twins who proved you are never too old to go all Parent Trap on the world in matchy matchy outfits.
