Angel Eva is from Wellington, where she loves to boogie board, go out for breakfast, drink lots of beer and eat even more picnic food with her friends. Her most loved thing about her hometown is the people, followed closely by how the coast wraps itself around almost the entire city. If you’re ever in town, she recommends getting a car and doing day trips outside of the city, with Kaitoke River or Princess Bay being her main picks. If you want to chill in the city, she recommends eating at Ombra, drinking at Basque and shopping at Ena. So dreamy!
We asked her to give us the Eva elevator pitch, and she told us of her superhuman ability to eat Tim Tams like they’re chips. Needless to say, we’re very impressed. Her mum is her biggest hero in life, ‘cause she’s always there for her with a big hug and a smile, and while her “massive” feet used to bother her, they don’t anymore because she gets to wear guys’ sneakers instead. Her fave thing about growing up is getting to know herself better.
Outside of modelling, she hangs out with her little brothers, tries to see her friends as much as possible, and works as a youth development advisor. Of the latter she says, “I love it because everyday is a little bit different and I’m constantly learning new things, I also get to do a lot of writing and editing which is a win for me.” Primo! If she absolutely had to choose, she’d go nature over city because she grew up living by the ocean and couldn’t imagine her life without it. She’s currently in plans to travel to South America with her friends, and is particularly keen to head to Colombia. Jealous!
The best piece of advice she’s received is to “try and remember yourself that everyone is going through something, however big or small… Sometimes it’s a bit too easy to get stuck in your own thought patterns.” True! For her, 2018 is the year of trying to learn Spanish, and cool means “having fun and being kind.”
