To the delight of Antipodeon fashion lovers, Kahuria — New Zealand Fashion Week has returned this month, after a 2-year hiatus. We grabbed our point and shoot a roll of film, and dashed backstage at one of the first shows of the week, the debut runway of Tāmaki Makaurau-based Harris Tapper.
An ode to couture salon shows and the intimacy that came with having models sauntering in proximity, designers Sarah Harris-Gould and Lauren Tapper gave us the full experience, complete with feathers and beading brushing our knees.
Backstage before the show, we captured the magic and caught up with some of Aotearoa's brightest faces. Friends of CPC Te Manahou Mackay and Kahu Skudder, and models we're introducing for the first time, including star on the rise Mollie Gardiner. Revel in the mood above.
