Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi might not command as much attention globally as NYC, Paris, London or Milan, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worthy of yours. Quite the opposite! Demna Gvasalia’s stomping ground is teeming with fresh young designers who are continuing to put the Georgian capital on the map, and the locals certainly know how to work a #lewk.
In the absence of any homogeneous street style uniform, the Georgian inhabitants put the fun back into getting dressed, as evidenced by the pavement looks going down outside. Floral dresses and shirts, ripped denim, teeny tiny sunglasses, Matrix-esque leathers, combat boots and pin-striped blazers were all thrown together in perfectly eclectic fashion.
Inside, labels like Alexander Arutyunov, Lado Bokuchava, Bessarion and Situationist were showcasing the clothes our colourful wardrobe dreams are made of.
