Introducing Clara Fossar

Gadigal Land

— February 20, 2025 —

Our friend, Photographer Olivia Repaci, has a knack for spotting cool talent. When she heard Clara Fossar had touched down on this side of the planet, she knew she needed to carve out time to feature the stylish Copenhagen model. And boy, we sure are over the moon she did just that <3.

Browsing Clara's Instagram, it's clear she has a well-honed eye for detail — sharing glimpses into her work and moments from worldwide wandering. We spent a morning in her glorious presence, dressing her up in all the cute looks we want to be wearing right now.

Then, we took ten to chat about life, her first impression of Sydney, and got some important reminders and apt advice. She also taught us some jellyfish have a Benjamin Button-like life cycle and "age in reverse", who knew!

Name: Clara
Nickname: C
Star Sign: Leo

Where do you live, and where do you call home?
Copenhagen.

What does your ideal day in your hometown look like?
Being with my friends. Don’t care what we’re doing as long as I’m with them.

Was there any particular person you grew up with who helped shape your worldview in a big way?
My family has definitely shaped and defined me. But my worldview changes all the time as I get older and more experienced.

What surprised you most about Sydney when you first arrived?
The tropical environment. The humid feeling, the smells and the plants were a whole new feeling and experience for me, coming from a cold country in the north of Europe.

You have a very transient, and at times chaotic job, how do you find calm during your ever changing schedule?
Always prioritizing my comfort.

What is your idea of true happiness?
Being content in the current. Not needing anything more than what you already have.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning and does this change based on where you are in the world?
Drink water, always.

You have one of those effortless instagram accounts which shows you have a great eye for detail, have you always been creative?
Being creative comes fairly naturally to me. I have always loved expressing myself through art and images.

How has working in the fashion industry influenced your style and how you see the world?
In terms of my style, it has shown me so many possibilities. That fashion should be fun and for you to feel good.
The fashion industry definitely plays a role in how I see the world. Working as a model has given me so many unique opportunities and experiences. Both good and bad.

What’s the most interesting or random thing you’ve learned recently?
Something really random I just read, is that some jellyfish age in reverse, which means they never get old. That is very fascinating to me.

What books/podcasts/shows are you enjoying at the moment?
I just watched The Virgin Suicides and loved it. Reading The Little Prince, it is lovely. And I’m so excited for the upcoming season of The White Lotus.

Favourite song?
That depends and always changes — but one that I always go to is ‘Tell Him’ by Ms. Lauryn Hill.

Favourite movie?
The Talented Mr Ripley.

When do you feel most like 'you'?
When I’m with people I love.

What are you most looking forward to in 2025?
Getting to know myself better, meeting new people and making more of my dreams come true.
